With You

Tuesday in the boardroom

The neck-ties straightened

Projection lights on

For slides charted in grandiosity

From a corner
The heater vacuously bellows

My pulse beats to the rhythm of your drum

like summer rain against the screens

Funny, this tyranny of materialism
How it can leave the heart so warm

And full

      1. You’re most welcome…(here I miss the name)… and I value your friendship a lot. Genuine people are a rarity… I know one when I meet one… or read one. 🤘🖖👍:-)

  4. Hey Vera!!! Smiling so big. Love this poem and just can’t stop smiling of thinking of You in a boardroom. Like trying to imagine a sunrise at an indoor ice hockey game! 😄🐬🤣
