Closeness

Stones have a soft centre
Their crusts harden away;
A house with thick walls and
No windows, blocked from
Proximity to others. Unknowingly,
Feelings become like this:
They crawl against indifference
Fighting for shelter
Making it their cave.
It takes fierce intention to force
Tulips out from beneath
Hard cerebral soil
Peel back the petals
Towards the wet bud of each stalk.

  3. THANK YOU for this. There are some very old thinking habits/emotions/thoughts of mine that, although I understand them and have compassion for them…it’s seriously time to move on. There are many tools that are helpful…but I’m a visual so and so and sometimes imagery is the most helpful. You just gifted a very sweet package of tools to my doorstep. This is wonderful and very helpful! Cheers!!! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜Š
